OK...so, it's been three years since I posted on this blog. I went into a period where I had no motivation for art or crafting. (2013 was a hard year, I lost my sister to cancer and my cat of 20 years to old age.) A few months ago, I was sorting through my crafting stuff and looking at all of it got me a little motivated. I made a quite a few card sets in the last few months, I just haven't been posting them anywhere. So, why today? I signed up for a three-day online card class, today was the first day, and we are encouraged to post our work. I've been thinking about posting my recent cards for a month or so, this class was just the little push I needed. Today we were supposed to create a card using watercolor markers. So, I used watercolor markers to paint these little images and the "hello" greeting. I think they turned out cute.
I also made a couple card sets. I colored the flower and leaves stamps with markers and then sprayed the colored stamp with water before I stamped the image. This made the ink thinner so it could spread out and splatter a little bit. I was going for a messy look. I added some paint spatters by flicking the paint brush. I finished the cards off with a nice greeting and little gem in the center of the flower.
Well, there it is, hopefully the first of many posts this year.
Thanks for stopping by, Patty

Lovely cards. I think it is so fun to make sets. My family and friends are always tickled to get them.
Loved your cards. I know how you feel. I lost my mom and my dog and it was hard getting back to crafting. I felt empty but art journaling helped me. Art can really be therapeutic.
Lovely cards!
I love it when you can use one stamp for all kinds of cards.
I hope to see more of your talent in the class gallery.

Definitely hope this is the first of many. Delightful creations. Especially love that bird image - that is one I haven't seen but probably need to hunt down if I can find out who made it! Cheers!
Super Jen, thanks for the nice comment, the birds stamps are from a set called "Best Friends" by Inkadinkado.
Wonderful cards and welcome back to your craft!
Patty you are on fire! Wonderful cards.
Hi Patricia,
your cards are awesome! you've got a wonderful sense for color and harmony. I truly hope to see more of your work as I think it's very very inspiring. Hope for you that the crafting spark ingnites a fire after those hard times.
Love from Mink (OCC classmate, unfortunately w/out a blog or Google account)
These are really beautiful - you definitely haven't lost your mojo! I hope that you'll continue to keep creating and pick back up with your blog. I'd love to keep watching your art.
