What fall means to me...

This is my latest project for Marks Paper Company. It's a little mini album made of tag pockets. Each tag pocket has a tabbed insert that includes a photo on the front and a little bit of journaling on the back. You can find some details about how to make this project here on the Marks Paper Company blog.

OWH Veterans Day Bloghop...

Operation Write Home is having a Veteran's Day Bloghop on November 14th to honor those who serve our great nation. Veteran's Day is actually Wednesday the 11th, but the hop is happening on the 14th (the weekend) to give more time to hop and be inspired! You can get all of the details here. To enter your blog in the hop, you need to sign up by midnight November 11th. Even you decide not to enter your blog in the hop, I hope you stop back on Saturday and spend some time supporting the bloggers who are participating. And to entice you a little bit, I'm going to have a nice prize to give away! I can tell you that part of it includes some fabulous goodies from Marks Paper Company!

I also have a few cards to show you. I think they turned out pretty cute, I like the combo of the refined pearls with the rustic texture of the twine.

Songbird Avenue November Kit...

If you are not familiar with Songbird Avenue, it is a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month.  They team with talented designers to produce a new kit each month; the kit is sold for only one month and all of the proceeds go to the selected charity for that month. For November, they teamed up with the designers of Scrapbook Graphics and created "Toys in the Attic" kit - this month's charity is Toys for Tots.  Here's a preview of the kit and the card I made using just a few of the papers and elements included - this kit is massive and full of goodness. You can find out more about Songbird Avenue and the Toys in the Attic Kit and see more project examples using the kit here.

Products: Blank Card: PaperSource; Cardstock: Bazzill; Printed Acrylic Circle: My Little Yellow Bicycle; Epoxy Greeting: MAMBI; Ribbon: Offray.

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day!

For all the digi and hybrid artists out there - Happy DSD! I'm on the CT at scrapbookgraphics.com. Once a month (every first Tuesday) I post a hybrid project on the scrapbookgraphics.com blog - Studio Matters. This month's post was full of hybrid cards I made with some of the amazing products that have come into the store recently. So, first I'll show you the cards and then tell you about some of the stuff going on over there today to celebrate DSD.

First here are a couple fall cards. These are made with the papers you can find in Phuong Ton’s Autumn's Kiss Kit or she also has just the papers for sale, aren't they gorgeous!!! I wanted to make simple cards that let the papers really stand out.

If you haven't been to scrapbookgraphics.com recently, you may not know that they have added some new designers to the team, one is Ruby Rynne. My next couple cards are made with two of her kits – Fat Quarter and Eight Field. I love her butterflies, look at the one the first card – it’s fabulous!

These last two cards use the Impression of Traditions Kit with a little bit of Veronica Spriggs' Aged Innocence mixed in on the first card. The IO Traditions Kit is awesome and there are some extra giveaways to coordinate with the kit on the Studio Matters blog today, which I'll tell you a little more about below.

OK, so here's some of the stuff going on over at scrapbookgrpahics.com for DSD. They have an all day chat which you can find out about here, there is also a big sale - you can get the coupon book for it here, also in the coupon book you can find info for giveaways or contests some of the designers are doing on their blogs.

And as I mentioned earlier in this post they have some fabulous free add-ons to go with the awesome IO Traditions Kit. Below is an image of only some of the goodies included in the IO Traditions Kit, you can buy the kit here.

And here are images of the free add-ons, you can download them here. These were made by Studio Crew members Michelle Reaves and Karen Maggie. I think they are really beautiful and complement the main kit so well!

OK - I'm done...sorry for the super long post, hope you are all still with me!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a very creative Digital Scrapbooking Day!  Patty

Inverting digital papers...

Here are a couple cards I made using the Autumn Digital Kit from Marks Paper Company. If you are familiar with that kit, you may notice the colors looks very different on my cards. Well, just to mix it up a little I inverted the papers. Inverting switches all of the colors to their visual opposite (complimentary) color on the color wheel. This is an easy way to get even more out of your digi kits. These cards are featured over on the Marks Paper Company blog today. Also, on the blog, you can also see the new collection for fall. It will coming out in digi form and a hybrid form which will have some things that you can print and use.

Physical Products: Blank Card: PaperSource; Cardstock: Bazzill; Rubons: Basic Grey; Gems: MAMBI; String Clasp: K&Company; Letter Stickers: Making Memories; Brads: Making Memories; Ink: Clearsnap.     Digital Products: Patterned Paper (color altered) and Brown Flower: Marks Paper Company.

Halloween Treat Packages...

On the first Tuesday of each month, I post a hybrid project over on the Scrapbookgraphics.com Studio Matters Blog. This month I made some very easy Halloween treat packages, you can read the post and get the instructions to make the packages here. And a special thanks to Connie (MaggieMom) for reminding me about these packages and for lending me her cool paper crimper so I could make the edges look as good as the ones she made.

Happy World Card Making Day!

Just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Happy World Card Making Day!  I haven’t been able to do any artsy/craft stuff myself today. However, I did help a friend stage a house that is going on the market this week, so I used some of my artistic skils there. Anyway - hope you all are enjoying the day!   Patty
