Woohoo...got some St. Patrick's Day Cards done early!

Here are a couple of St. Patricks Day Cards I made this past weekend. Actually I made some Easter cards already also, but I'll thought I wait to post those, don't want to rush that far into spring yet!

Anyway, for these cards I used this great paper from Cosmo Cricket, it comes in an 8x8 pad and already has that cool decorative treatment on one edge. On the first card, I fancied up a plain foam shamrock by stamping a swirly pattern on it and them embossing it with white embossing powder... I like the way it turned out.

Still going through the stash....

So... I feel like lately I've been starting a lot of these entries talking about trying to use some of my old stash. I guess this happens to me every time CHA rolls around and the new stuff starts hitting the stores. I look around at how overflowing my current stash is and I feel the need to do something with it so I don't feel as bad about buying the new goodies. :)

So anyway, here are some more cards that are made from some of the things that have been around for more than a little while. These first four use a lot of K&Company stickers. There is also some Making Memories chipboard in there, some Petaloo flowers, and a little paint and ink.

I did some dry-brushing with white paint techniques on these cards... I liked the way they turned out.

These next two use some more of the K&Company stickers, but also have a lot of Paper Salon rub-ons, a Bazzill silk flower, some Prima and MAMBI gems.

This last one features some stickers I got just a couple of weeks ago...I'm a sucker for the dollar bins at Michael's, I got these little blue flower stickers there recently. I stamped a swirl with a Basic Grey stamp, added the flower stickers and embellished it a bit more with some gems and ribbon. At least I managed to keep these ones out of the future old stash pile!

Valentine's Day Cards

Well, I actually didn't make any new valentine cards this year, I made a surplus last year so I used one of those. I did add a little coupon book in the card this year.. for things like dog walks and trash take-outs.

And because the one I gave my sweetie last year was so adorable, I thought I post it again this year... love this card...

Quick Thank You Note Cards...

Below are some quick thank you note cards I made for the friends who celebrated my last birthday with me (january 15). I used a couple of my the new toys I got for Christmas (Cuttlebug and DYMO Caption Maker). Both tools are so much fun... love the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder and the script font that comes with the Caption Maker is really cute.

The best for last...

I think these are my favorites of the my holiday cards. They are just four embellished cardstock squares arranged in a grid. Two of the four squares on each card were preprinted tags to which I just added some bling, buttons, or glitter. I have a lot of these preprinted tags for a variety of occasions, I get them at PaperSouce. IRL these tags have a lot of texture, I really like them!

Love Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens!

I made over a dozen cards using the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Screens. They were so easy to use and best of all... they were easy to clean up! Most of the cards I made were just simply placing the screen onto the cardstock, spraying on the mist, and when it was all dry, I outlined the design with a white pen and added embellishments. However, in between card I was blotting the stencil onto a scrap piece of paper and it was actually making a nice image! So I made a few cards from the actual blotting paper and then I started to purposefully stamp with the glimmer screen after using it as stencil, so I was getting two cards from every spray application. Anyway, I've posted a few of them here, the rest are posted in my on-line gallery.

Here are ones where the screen was used as a stencil.

Here is one made from the blotter paper.
